The latest data shows that Tesla’s sales in Australia plummeted 71.9% year-on-year in February this year, with sales of entry-level Model 3 falling 81%. Data from the Australian Electric Vehicle Association shows that Tesla’s sales in February were only 1,592 vehicles, far lower than 5,665 vehicles in February last year. Sales in the first two months of this year fell 66% to 2,331 vehicles from 6,772 vehicles in the same period last year.
